This is the one with your happy thought for the day.

This is the one where I challenge you to have a good, positive week.

This is a challenge. I challenge you to make next week a good one. Try to focus on these words this week:

This is the one with your happy thought for the day.

  • Today: give someone a compliment. Focusing on others will distract you from your own problems. #

  • Today have gratitude for all your emotions…even the most difficult emotions have the potential to wake you up. #

This is the one where I check the mail.

It was an interesting day at the mailbox.  Here’s what came:

I only get it for the pictures of hot chics…

The new K-Mart ad uses the WhatSomeWouldCallLies.com font!  I guess since I don’t own it, and I didn’t create it, I should be so shocked.

This was an advertisment for Lanutus Insulin…the part that was odd was the envelope said, “Have you met Andrew?  You two may have a lot in common.”  Then when you open it up, you see a photo of an overweight African-American man on a hiking trail.  Umm…what was it that we have in common Lanutus?!

Hmmmm….got a letter from Brian (he runs Cheap Blue Guitar).  I wonder what it could be.

There was a small package inside and a note that said, “I got this when I worked at the station.  I think you’ll enjoy it more than I would.  Brian.”

Tony Danza postit notes!!!!  Hallelujah!  Brian must have watched my latest traffic blog where I explain that Tony Danza is a HOT 60 year old…and my boyfriend explained his crush on Morgan Freeman.

Oh, I really LOVE getting mail.  So feel free to drop something in an envelope and send it my way:

This is the one with the Drawing Diabetes video.

Even if you don’t have diabetes, this video is pretty moving.  The good people at the Diabetes Hands Foundation put together drawings of children that are living with diabetes, or have loved ones that are living with diabetes.

This is the one with photos.

I blogged it (in both written and video form).  So you already know that I went to Vegas last weekend.  Here are a couple of photos from the trip:

Cute, right?  Yes, our shirts look a lot alike.  I made the joke that it looked like we were headed to a Sadie Hawkins Dance.

All of the wasted pictures are evidence that I don’t like taking serious pictures.  I think that I look goofy in every photo I take–so I might as well make that goofiness look planned.

Eww!  I don’t have a problem with straight people…but why do they have to flaunt it and kiss in public like this.  Gross.

Even at a buffet Mr. D eats like a child.

  • Usually you smile because you are happy. Flip that around today; smile for no reason and it will make you happy. #

This is the one with a few links.

Every Wednesday I share a handful of links that I’ve gathered from the corners of the world-wide web.  Here’s what I’ve got this week.

** Paraprosdokian – Did you know there was a name for that?  Me neither.

** Chore Buster – Enter your household chores, their desirability, and the people that have to do them.  ChoreBuster.net organizes a chore chart that is fair.  Wish I had this as a kid.

** More Productive Feed Reading – A list of 10 steps to make your feed reading time more productive.

** Tips For Meeting Your Future Self – It could happen…and it would be best if you were prepared.

** SuperCook – I’ve had this idea, and I’m glad to see this website.  You enter all of the food that you have in your kitchen, and the website will tell you what recipes you can cook.
