Gene Kelley and Frank Sinatria at their peak.

I was in an awkward situation the other day when a higher up at my organization started telling me and a few of the other pee-ons like me that he was voting for McCain.
All of us pee-ons were strong Obama supporters, but it’s kind of tough to argue with a higher up. “Why do you like Obama?” the higher up demanded. We all looked at one another and kept our mouths shut. Nobody wanted to say something that would offend the higher up.
If the situation was different, I might have said that I support Obama for the following 2 reasons:
** He’d let me eat at his table. This is usually the deciding factor for me when I pick who I’m going to vote for. Which candidate would be more likely to invite me into his or her home for dinner? Well, Obama voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment, and in a 2007 Newsday interview he said that “homosexuality is not immoral.”
McCain on the other hand voted against the Employee Non-Discrimination Act which would have made it illegal to discriminate against employees based on sexual orientation. He supported the marriage ban here in Arizona back in 2006. And he has been vocal about how much he dislikes gay adoption.
** Obama wants me to be healthy; McCain wants me to be poor – John McCain’s healthcare vision includes what he calls “fair markert competition,” yet I can’t see too much that is fair about forcing the poorest of this country to also become the sickest. At the heart of McCain’s healthcare plan is a tax credit of $2,500 for individuals and $5,00 for families…what McCain doesn’t talk about is what government run services will be cut for these credits. Too many Republicans talk about giving tax money back to taxpayers, but they never mention that some of our government run programs will have to turn their lights out as a result.
Obama believes in Universal Healthcare, and his plan includes guaranteed healthcare for all Americans, insurance reform, reducing costs by removing patent protections from pharmacuticals, and required employee contributions. You can tell a lot about a man’s character by the way he treats the poorest and sickest.

I’ve got this unhealthy obession lately, that I’m about to confess. Please don’t leave mean comments here…I know that this is a problem, and you mocking me won’t help.
So here it is…
I’ve got a Millsberry, and I’m super-obsessed with it.
Last week a ten-year-old convinced me to sign up. If you don’t know what it is, basically you go to Millsberry.com and you create a little character that you can make look like you. Then you can build it a home and buy clothes, etc. It’s completely free, but stuffed full of advertisments for Millsberry cereals.
So I’ve got a kick-ass Millsberry house, and I’ve got SOOOOOO much money. Since their target audience is grade school students, I think I have a bit of an edge on some of the games.
Anyone else have a Millsberry? Friend me if you do: MrMikeLawson.
