This is the one with my 12 of 12 for July.

Published by User ImageMike Lawson under 12 of 12

It’s pretty simple.  On the 12th of each month a bunch of people take 12 photos throughout the day.  Here’s what I came up with on July 12th.

The essentials.  Insulin is pretty important…but Chapstick is vital.

Tables are for women.  Us men, we use our laps when eating breakfast.

I spent the morning helping Daniel pack up some of the stuff in his father’s house.

We cleared out the liquor cabinet, and we found this old bottle of liquor that smelled a lot like turpentine.  Neither of us could translate the Spanish on the label….anyone?

Mid-day it just started pouring and hailing.  I laughed when I heard the children in the nearby park screaming, so I ran upstairs to snap this photo of them fleeing from the soccer field.

After packing we went shopping in Downtown Flagstaff.

Downtown has quite a few old buildings that just yell, “photograph me!”

This is Daniel photographing a building for his 12 of 12…which you can see here.

A nice healthy lunch at Alpine Pizza.

After lunch we stopped at a park to swing on the swings and watch 2 homos play with their child.  “When she yells ‘dad’ which one answers?” we wondered.

We didn’t get too much blue sky this weekend, but we saw a little bit on the way to the bar.

This one was technically taken on Sunday…it was a few minutes past midnight.  Getting ready for bed.

This is the one with 12 of 12 for June.

The concept is pretty easy.  On the 12th of the month you take 12 photos.  It wasn’t  my idea; the credit goes to Chad (click through to see the 12 of 12 of others too).

I’ve been doing it since March, and you can see all of my 12 of 12s here.

And here are my photos for June:

How can you have a bad day after waking up next to that.

A little Million Dollar Password on the TiVo before heading off to work.

My batch of pictures always includes needles and bloody fingers….but that’s my reality.

Outside the recording studio at work.

Have you seen my cute skin for my BlackBerry?

This is our think-table…it’s where the kiddies let their imaginations go wild.

There’s something about an empty gymnasium that makes me sad, and creeps me out at the same time.

Sick.  Someone left an open Tampax in the uni-sex bathroom right next to the toilet.  Who is thinking to themselves, “Oh, I’ll just use this open one here that someone left.”  Gross.  Gross. Sick.

God. Damn. It.

I drive by a lot of nothingness on the way home.

My sister found this old record that we played the hell out of, and left it on my desk.  You can kinda see the crayon mark around his eyes.  I was into Photoshop even before I had a computer.

You can’t call it an evening without a prick of the finger and a droplet of blood.

This is the one with 12 of 12 for May.

The concept is easy…on the 12th of the month take 12 photos throughout the day. It was a bad day for me to do this, because I started a new job. But I still managed to squeeze 12 photos out of the day.

Read more about 12 of 12 here.

New job = New shit on the floorboard of my car.

Showed up at Mr. D’s after work. Guess which football team he roots for.

He’s cute. And the shirt is referring to a sporting goods company, not oral lovin’.

I had a hodge-podge dinner…olives, cottage cheese, stir-fry, left over chicken.

I love getting mail! This is a letter from my kick-ass friend Julie. I purposely didn’t blur my address, so feel free to send me something (no chain letters, please).

While eating my dinner I opened my mail and watched some Friday Night Lights which I borrowed from Mr. D.

After dinner I read a little.

I’m a big boy now; I use big-boy needles instead of those convenient pens. I’m actually not a big-boy…just uninsured and these are cheaper.

No matter what anyone tells you, Diabetes hurts!

The night was coming to an end, and I checked out Brian’s 12 of 12. I know that Mr. D did it, and so did Derek.

Thinking about tomorrow. What to wear? Who knew I had so much brown in my wardrobe??

Off to bed!

This is the one with 12 of 12 for April.

12 of 12 is a little project where people all over take 12 photos of their lives on the 12th day of each month.  I’ve been a little ill, so I ended up falling asleep really early.  I would usually take tons of photos and pick out the best 12…but this month I had to go with the only 12 I had.  You can see my entries from previous months here.

I wake up SUPER early on Saturdays.  My blood glucose levels were spot-on.  Hooray!

I’m on the road before the sun has fully risen.  Holy shit it’s going to be a long day.

After work Mr. D. drove to the bowling alley.  He made me and Jenie sit in the back seat with nobody in the passenger seat.  Odd.

The bowling alley was set up for cosmic bowling.  The big video screens has a loop of videos that was probably made in 1997.

I’m sick, and I think I was actually napping in this photo.

Balls.

It’s hard to read, sorry.  My high score for the evening was 111.

Outrageous.

During our last game the lights mysteriously turned on.

For some reason I kind of thought the bowling shoes were comfy.

Dinner at Sweet Tomatoes.  They don’t have these in California…think Soup Plantation crossed with Hometown Buffet.

This last photo was taken 2 minutes before I passed out on Mr. D’s couch.  I was an annoying boyfriend this weekend.  I just slept, coughed, and complained the entire weekend.

This is the one with 12 of 12 (March).

Brian does it every month, and I decided to copy this month.  12 of 12 is easy…just take 12 photos on the 12th of the month and post them to your website or in your flickr.

I woke up a little bit high.  My blood glucose level should be below 120 when I wake up.

2.jpg

I ate breakfast in Julie’s bed and watched last night’s Big Brother.  What a kick-ass twist…

3.jpg

I’ve just started counting carbohydrates…and it’s allowing me to sneak in small scoops of sweets from time to time.  Do you know how small a half cup is!??

4.jpg

I threw some sun tea out to brew.  Look at all those weeds!  We’re having landscapers come in next weekend.

5.jpg

Kinda Twilight Zone…this is me texting Mr. D about 12 of 12.  Mr. D posted his 12 here.

6.jpg

Ouch.  Twice a day.

7.jpg

Yeah!  A movie came.  I picked this movie because it is part of the AFI list that I’m trying to conquer.

8.jpg

Julie and Chris right after dinner.  Julie doesn’t like to have her photo taken.

My home office.  Pretty crappy.

10.jpg

Such a simple message.

I’m a big boy.  I sort my laundry now.

I did really good with food today, and my BGL is a little low.  Much better than high!
