You may be wondering why I have a photo of 11:28pm on June 10th.  Well, the truth is I was going about 78 miles per hour…even though the posted limit is 65 miles per hour.  Damn it.

Perhaps this is a bit nuerotic…but I like to keep my closet in ROYGBIV order with white as my  starting color and black as my end.  Don’t judge me.

Four girls put together a thirty-second dance routine at work and wanted to do it for the Club.  And we’re a place that helps foster creativity…so we made the time.  (The truth is we were short-staffed that day, and when they came up to beg me to perform for everyone it was a really good way to stretch out our afternoon announcements.)

I’m really bad at making bulletin boards.  This is the Club announcement board I put together a couple of weeks ago.  Bleh.

I was trying to explain to Drew how organized my desk (right) is compared to my office mate’s (left).  So I snapped a photo and texted it…but when I look at this picture I see that I’ve got a lot of kid art and toys cluttering my space.  But notice how clean my actual desktop is.

Diet advice from the building managers?  I Twitpic’d this…but I thought it was funny.

This one freaked me out…I noticed on Tuesday afternoon that I had a mysterious 1:30 appointment blocked out with no explanation or title.  There were no corresponding appointments in my Outlook calendar or my Google calendar.  So I was truly perplexed.  Wednesday came and went, and nobody showed up at 1:30.

This little guy provoked a fight between 2 members at work, and was on my desk as evidence right next to the behavior citation I got to deal with that morning.

I Facebook’d that Mike Rowe and Dirty Jobs should come hang out at my work for a while.  This picture was taken after a small incident on Wednesday.

Sanctuary.

A six-year-old painted this cute picture last Friday.  He told me that the bottom thing under the letters is a guitar.  Super cute.  I tweeted “I didn’t paint this, but I agree.”

And @Adaman09 replied “But now it’s in your possession. ” 

Perhaps it is.

The mornings start early for me. Even though I don't have to be to work until 11, I get up early to take care of the dooogs.

Beezus LOVES Olive's dog bed more than her own.

We've finally unpacked all of my nuns. This one is sitting on my desk and I snapped a shot while working on some stuff for iEATbooks.

When I went to get a coffee refill, this is what I found.

We have a county head-start program in our building, and I believe this was posted by a pre-school teacher.

My officemate is being super healthy...and I'm not. Guess which beverage belongs to who.

At home we filled two gumball machines with wine corks and beer caps.

And we framed 9 of Dan's Dad's records. We're going to hang them in a grid.

This is Dan telling me all about his day in jury duty. He got picked to be on a jury...and it's going to be a long one. And he'll be able to write a John Grisham-like novel about his experiences.

Meatloaf before bed.

For Christmas, Dan got a book called Chow Hound.  And this morning I decided to give one of the recipes a try.

I chose Here Kitty, Kitty Tuna Pie (don’t let the name fool you…it’s a dog treat).  I picked this one simply because we had all of the ingredients in the house already.

Start by gathering your ingredients:

• 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
• 2 Eggs
• 1/2 Cup Low-Sodium Chicken Broth
• 2 Cans of Tuna
• 2 Tablespoons of Dried Parsley
• 1/2 Cup of Bread Crumbs

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Coat a 9-inch pie plate with Olive Oil.

In a medium-sized bowl, beat together the eggs and the chicken broth.

Throw in the Tuna.  If you’re using chunky (like me), I’d suggest you fork all of the pieces into smaller chunks.

Add the Parsley.  Mix it all together.

If you’re doing it right, your dogs should be standing at your feet already salivating over the treat you’re creating.

Pour the mixture into the pie plate, and sprinkle the bread crumbs evenly over the top.

Bake the pie for 45 minutes…or until the eggs are set and the bread crumbs turn golden brown.

Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool.  You can serve it warm or at room temperature.

I made little cookies out of ours.

What a cute face! Beezus is getting big, right?

Dan and I are obsessed with these Not-A-Paper-Cup ceramic coffee mugs. They look like disposable coffee cups, but are made of glass and can be washed in the dishwasher.

Kind of a boring morning for 12 of 12...I had a meeting in Gilbert until almost 1:30. Bleh.

My office-mate is kind of disorganized, and it drives me nutso! This is what I'm greeted with each day when I arrive.

When our members arrived I took a couple of minutes to play some CandyLand. Damn, my job is hard.

We installed these lights in both bathrooms. It's kind of dark, but you can see the paint color too.

This is the beginning to a very long night. 233 is WAY too high.

My friend Lee Ann Thill writes a blog called The Butter Compartment, named after the place that most of us keep our insulin. Maybe I should create a blog called "The Mustard Shelf."

After some insulin, my blood glucose level is slowly creeping down. 196 is still too high. I'd be happy at 85 or 90.

Getting there...

Not on target, but close enough to go to bed.

Fucking Diabetes. I woke up feeling panicked and shaky, and tested. 66 is too low. I drink some Mountain Dew and wait.

Exhausting. This picture is taken after 2 a.m...which is technically the 13th, but whatever.

The State Fair is under the Zoos, Farms & Aquariums page (don’t ask) located here.  And my photo is even credited.  Pretty sweet.

So I’m here.

Since my last post I’ve been pretty busy.  I’ve received a promotion at work, and I’m now the director of my own club.  In the few weeks that my blog was down, I wouldn’t have blogged much anyway.  I was dealing with closing up shop at my old club where I ran technology programing with children, and I was training and getting settled into my new club which is in Tempe.

In that time I also missed a 12 of 12.  Bummer.  Here are some photos that people took of me in the past few weeks:

The only downer was that we left at 11pm and drove through the night…and since I was driving the bus, I was exhausted on Saturday.

The kids thought this motel sign was hillarious.  We had to stop to photograph it.

The Buena Park club let us stay in their teen center.

This sight really brings back memories.  How many times did we cruise down Grand Ave.  Especially when we were poor teenagers, moving our car every three hours so it wouldn’t get towed.
