This is the one about ‘Average American Male.’

In this traffic blog I said that I had started to get a little Harry Pottered out. I needed to cleanse my palette. There’s only so much Hogwarts a guy can handle…I read book 1-5 in about 5 weeks.
So I picked up The Average American Male by Chad Kultgen [Amazon Link]. It was pretty refreshing.
Kultgen, like Charles Bukowski and Chuck Palahniuk, is a guy’s writer. It’s really raw and even borders on obscene at times, but Kultgen does a decent job of realistically portraying the inner monologue of the average American male.
If you can read past the raunchy sexual thoughts that the nameless narrator shares (do straight guys really fantasize about anal that much??), what you’ve got is a pretty simple story that articulates some of those thoughts we’ve all had but have never seen in print.

All the straight guys I know seem to think about it a lot.
