This is the one I write while watching ‘Heroes.’
Posted October 27th, 2008 by Mike Lawson
This is kind of an experiment post. I’m watching Heroes right now, and I’m going to write this post as the episode is on.
** Episode opens with subtitles. Annoying. I’ve read all day. I’m not going to read it. Perhaps I’ll be missing a significant part of the story. Who cares.
** Okay, now Peter wakes up. His dad took his abilities. But we know he has abilities in the future…because he came back in time. Right? With the scar, remember?
** I need chapstick. brb.
** Episode 7: something in latin. As if this show needed something else that was confusing.
** Opening sequence. Is it me, or are shows starting to show their opening sequences later and later? Ugly Betty’s is like 15 minutes into the episode.
** Funny joke… “Have you met their mother?” Zing!
** Woah…so Arthur can totally take away someone’s powers. Kinda cool.
** Does Skyler look a little like Billy Zane? Or is it just me?
** Who would you rather have as a mom, Joan Crawford or Angela Petrelli?
** Woah. Girl has lightning come out of her body, and Claire says, “Is there something wrong with you?” Stupid cheerleader.
** Boyfriend is sick, and falling asleep. Too cute…if I had a camera close, I’d snap a photo.
** Woah. One fat guy down. Killed the cop’s dad.
** Commercial. This experiment is stupid…not sure If I’ll really publish it.
** Hahaha…Channel 12 News teaser: “When the times get tough, the tough buy guns.” I love stupid news teasers.
** Claire says, “There’s something inside of me, and it’s broken.” My response: Is it a broom handle, cause that could cause an infection.
** Daphne’s cute, right? The running girl. In a ‘Lost In Translation’ sort of way.
** Time travel confuses me. “When you saw me in the future, what did I look like?” God damn this show.
** Another commercial. During which I asked the boyfriend, “This show is confusing, right?” And he said, “Yeah.” He’s sick and not his normal verbose self.
** Who’s the blonde lightning girl’s father again? I asked the boyfriend…he knows but doesn’t give me a coherent response.
** Plane turbulance because of the lightning girl…I guess that’s why you can’t use your iPod during take-off?
** The fear-guy puts his hand through the cop. Now if this show was based in reality, that would mean he is dead, right? But I think he’s going to live.
** Commercial.
** Wait…now they are alive. Cop made the fear-guy imagine? This is stupid.
** I miss season 1.
** Shit! I put a calorie-free soda water in the freezer before dinner. I gotta get it out.
** That Mexican girl…or Guatamalan of whatever…has a fake accent.
** I think I’d rather be reading right now.
** Or sleeping.
** Or quilt sewing.
** Or brick laying.
** Or grass mowing.
** Did I mention that I’m lying on a Love Sac right now? My boyfriend has this large red one in his living room. He has some stomach flu or food posioning, and he’s on the couch. I smelled something gross, and I said, “did you just fart?” and he said, “yeah. Sorry.”
** Peter flew out a window and now he isn’t healing.
** Elle, the blonde lightning bitch just ditched Claire. Women are fickle.
** The boyfriend is hot with a fever, and just put a blanket on. Gross.
** How do you suppose Peter survived that fall? Seven stories without the ability to heal. Boyfriend guesses Skyler did it on purpose.
** And things just got more complicated with the fast-running girl being two-faced. Shit.
** Does anyone else think that Hiro’s friend Ando is hot?
** Does Ando ever speak in English? Boyfriend says yes.
** This is the longest post ever. I’d be surprised if anyone is reading this.
** Hiro passes out…show is over.

Only me. And two notes, Elle’s dad was the guy from Groundhog day that turned spoons into gold and used to run the company, and how could you not post about hottie naked Peter even if he was all bruised up.

I had the VCR (yeah, I know — stone age technology) set to tape the show, but didn’t realize it (the VCR) was on the “old” schedule for ending daylight savings time. I ended up only seeing the last 10 minutes of Heroes. Thanks for the recap — it makes me feel like I didn’t miss much. Hope Mr. D is feeling better soon.

I missed half the show, but that was a GREAT recap, and i knew exactly when i came in.. so now i know what happened.
I wonder, if the writers are playing a game on us. to see how long we’ll pretend to think that this show makes sense?
