We had a stove without a pilot light. I had an aunt that was staying in my house and she don't realize how our oven worked. She asked my about it and because I didn't know that she had already left the oven on for a few minutes I went down to light it with a match and was engulfed in flames. It was quite an experience for a number of reasons but I still get a little nervous when I smell propane and it took me a couple years to light the oven again. I had this happen to me as a child.
