I really don’t know why, but cursive writing reminds me of pubic hair. I seriously think of pubes every time I use cursive (which is not often) or when I’m helping a kid write in cursive.
Gross, right?
And my cursive writing is so ugly (see above). Why did we waste so many hours in elementary school on a skill we’ll never use in our adult lives? I think it’s time for us to slowly phase out the use of this sickening form of writing.

Actually here in GA they only teach it in 4th grade & even then, it’s not that big of a deal. Yet hours are spent in computer lab….ah, technology.

Dearest, I have to disagree. Yes, your cursive lacks inspiration (sorry) but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be beautiful. Some of my most prized possessions are old photos that my mother wrote short love notes on the backs of to my father, each one written in cursive. I’ll send you a copy of one if you’d like.
