Who am I to comment but I am from the south and I am a proud bender. I intensly dislike those that do not bend their hat bills. Personally I think it looks weird. However, I will say that there is a trend (I see it in the young ones) that leave their hat bill straight; so if you want to be trendy, leave it straight. If you don’t care about trends, bend it. If you don’t care either way, do what you want =)

I think you will look about 18 if you don’t bend the bill. And there is nothing wrong with being 18, but… I don’t think that’s how you want to look.

You and I grew up in the same generation, and I know that the trucker look with the bent bill was cool then.  However, I will say that my high school students (especially the ones who wear girls’ pants) don’t bend the brims of their caps.   So I guess that’s the with-it thing to do.  I think it looks ridiculous though :)

Okay…I am from the bent or “rolled” brim era…that’s just what looks best and coolest to me.  I asked the hubby (who is younger than me) and he says yes, the brim should be bent (and you can do this by rolling the brim and putting the brim only in a drinking glass for a couple of days). Now my daughters and their boyfriends believe that unbent is the way to go…they are 19 & 21.  So, what does that tell you? What do YOU think looks best?
