When I was in my teens, I became quite a good friend of my French and Ethics teacher -as I was going to carry on studying Philosophy, at the same university as he did, and as we shared the same sense of humour, we had good laughs and kept in touch for years until he moved away from Spain. At our french classes there were very few of us, so we had a relaxed atmosphere and nicknames for each student. Besides, we had a series of "private jokes", one of which was threatening me that "The fat nun shall come and get you!!!" any time I made an awkard question or managed to change subject when I was bored with the tasks. He'd have other threats for other students -he was real fun!The first class after Christmas that year, my teacher was trying nort to laugh, and you could tell he'd been up to something. We were anxious to see what was going to happen, and the first time I corrected someone he went up to a cupboard and opend the door. Stuk to the inner side of the door was this waterpaint of a hideous fat nun :)When I left Highschool to go to university he gave me the waterpaint, and it survived 4 different bedsits and shared apartments until it finally got lost :/

After years in the metaphorical dark, I've suddenly seen the absolute truth of this: "any situation is automatically funnier if a nun is one of the players" - thanks! And that's a great picture of the nun collection, too. An equivalent picture of my cat collection would be nowhere near as amusing...

I used to live near a convent and you have more nuns in your collection. I like the "bug-eyed" one, she looks like she just caught the priest with the alterboy.

I never thought of a guy collecting nun figurines. :P It's a good thing that you explained why a nun is included in your list. It really needed an explanation *lol*
