I love that your mom starts off with how tough writing the letter was for you. And then how your dad was reacting. Very empathetic and mom-like. And the little details like learning to use email, and taking your cousin to lunch (did you ever do it? or just cash the check?), and the reference to nervous pimples. LOL Your sisters perspective adds to it. Did it cut down on mom's "God speeches" to either of you? Or your dads gay jokes? And how long did it take for the South Dakotans to find out?
