This is the one where it is haute.

It.  Is.  Hot.  And getting hotter.

Can someone remind me why I decided to pack up and leave Southern California?!?  It is only May, and it hit three digits today.  Meanwhile in Garden Grove it is a nice 86.

I’ve always heard Arizonans says things like, “well at least our heat is a dry heat,” or “since the humidity is low, it isn’t too bad.”  Which I can now understand.  If it was over 100 in So. Cal, we’d be dying…but it isn’t too tough to handle here.

Bring on summer.

It hit high 90’s this weekend here in Oregon, which is more-or-less completely unheard of. I can sympathize with your overheated-ness.

It’s very important to note the “feels like” part of the weather.  That’s where it counts.  As long as those numbers are the same, we’re good.  On the bright side, once the temperature reaches 110, you really don’t notice the increase in the HOT factor.

It is a dry heat until it isn’t.  By end of next month you will be longing for the 103 degree days of May.  June is tough even for me, and I LOVED the summer in Phoenix.  God I miss it.  But end of June the monsoon starts to build up and you get temperatures around 105 with 65 degree dew points (usually doesn’t get that humid)….About the same as Pittsburgh.
