Mar 12 2008
This is the one with 12 of 12 (March).
Brian does it every month, and I decided to copy this month. 12 of 12 is easy…just take 12 photos on the 12th of the month and post them to your website or in your flickr.

I woke up a little bit high. My blood glucose level should be below 120 when I wake up.

I ate breakfast in Julie’s bed and watched last night’s Big Brother. What a kick-ass twist…

I’ve just started counting carbohydrates…and it’s allowing me to sneak in small scoops of sweets from time to time. Do you know how small a half cup is!??

I threw some sun tea out to brew. Look at all those weeds! We’re having landscapers come in next weekend.

Kinda Twilight Zone…this is me texting Mr. D about 12 of 12. Mr. D posted his 12 here.

Ouch. Twice a day.

Yeah! A movie came. I picked this movie because it is part of the AFI list that I’m trying to conquer.

Julie and Chris right after dinner. Julie doesn’t like to have her photo taken.

My home office. Pretty crappy.

Such a simple message.

I’m a big boy. I sort my laundry now.

I did really good with food today, and my BGL is a little low. Much better than high!

@cheapblueguitar you leaving?? Or just singing?

Hey, at least your desk is clean. :)
12 of 12 - March 2008
Mike introduced me to this online “idea” where you take 12 photos on the 12th of each month. It’s called 12 of 12 and you can read more about it here.
Here are my submissions for this month:
06:52 - A cup of joe to start the day.
07…
Mmm… Ice cream.I see “Wreck This Journal!”
Yeah, Wreck This Journal is kicking it on my desk…but I haven’t done very much wrecking. One day.
OK, so I’ll be honest… I think I have hit this blog several times… lurked a bit and left. And now for some reason I’m leaving a comment that doesn’t really relate to your post at all. But no worries, I am getting there.Nice blog! Really. I can say that because I’ve been here more than once and have actually read (and watched) your stuff.Now.1/2 cup of ice cream isn’t much at all (boo!)And when hasn’t “Citizen Kane” or “Godfather” been in AFI’s Top 10? I think they are great films if a little overrated. If it’s alright with you, I’ll be back. :-)
What’s that playing on your home office laptop? Just wondering. It looks like a porn. Just saying. What kind of work do you do?
Jillian,
Come back as often as you’d like!
And I completely agree with your thought that Citizen Cane is overrated. I watched it last night and was pretty disappointed. And it’s been #1 on this list for a few years.
Soup,
Hahaha…I didn’t realize that it does kind of look like porn. I was watching Do The Right Thing. I think I snapped the picture during a fight scene, and fights look an awful lot like sex.
When I’m working from home I do SEO for a chain of newspapers.
Mmmm… Sun Tea. Yummy.
Sun Tea!Now there’s something I haven’t made in awhile.I love Citizen Kane. It’s a bit overrated, but good none the less.
that ice cream looks delicious - yum!!! Lisa
I remember an exchange in “Scrubs”, where JD mentions “Shaft” to a black family - when they don’t react, he says “Oh come on, ‘Shaft’?”. To which the black grieving widow replies “Yeah… that’s like our ‘Citizen Kane’.”I think with things like the AFI/BFI/IMDb top 100/250 lists, people need to vote according to whether they like it, not because it’s meant to be some searing insight into post modern Anglo feminine angst or something. I’m trying to work on the IMDb top 250 list, but it’s on hiatus at the moment, as I’m working on the “see 500 TV episodes in a year” challenge (too easy, I’m on 230 already). Good luck with your AFI 100!Helen (12er, Devon)
Dude, you and I totally have the same desk!!! OMG!Really, I hate that thing, want another?
