This is the one with a video.
This is the second video in a series I’m making that documents my life as a person living with diabetes.

Mmm… cheetos. *drool*
try having that sandwitch on a wrap, there are some out there that have only 1 carb serving, then you can have 3 servings of cheetos!
I just skip the bread. I had not thought about wraps. Good idea!
My goodness.. you are so cute… AND funny. This really is an ingenious idea you have going and any one with diabetes should watch your documentary. You educate, and make it fun… which is perfect since most of us look at diabetes as the end of our lives.I love the disclosure at the beginning. I’m still laughing about it.You killed me with the cheetos, so of course now I must go buy some. Thanks a lot!
hey mike!i just stumbled onto your blog through craig over at puntabulous. i’m really impressed with your blog, especially with all your stuff about diabetes. i’m not diabetic but i did have a kidney transplant a few years ago so i can kind of relate to some things that go on with having a chronic illness. anyways, just thought i’d stop by and say hello. nice job with the blog and i look forward to reading more!thom
Can you be my dietician? You explain everything so much better than the person I see - who’s just out of school and inserts a “like” between every word.
“So, like if you have this kind of, like, bread, ok, this bread has like, um, 5 things of carbs so like if you have like, um, two pieces of bread…”
you get the idea.
Thom,
Thanks for the nice words. And thanks for understanding why I write so much about diabetes…it’s an aspect of my life I’ll never be able to escape, so I’ve just embraced it here.
Hope to see more of your comments in the future!
Mike
Brett,
I’d be a horrible dietitian. Do you know how long it has taken me to figure out carb counting?!?
The whole “dumbing down” part of this video was born out of my need to simplify it for myself.
:)
Thanks for the comment.
Mike,
Do you have “Diabetes Meal Planning Made Simple” put out by the American Diabetes Association? It really helped me with my meal planning.
