This is the one with my 12 of 12 for July.

It’s pretty simple.  On the 12th of each month a bunch of people take 12 photos throughout the day.  Here’s what I came up with on July 12th.

The essentials.  Insulin is pretty important…but Chapstick is vital.

Tables are for women.  Us men, we use our laps when eating breakfast.

I spent the morning helping Daniel pack up some of the stuff in his father’s house.

We cleared out the liquor cabinet, and we found this old bottle of liquor that smelled a lot like turpentine.  Neither of us could translate the Spanish on the label….anyone?

Mid-day it just started pouring and hailing.  I laughed when I heard the children in the nearby park screaming, so I ran upstairs to snap this photo of them fleeing from the soccer field.

After packing we went shopping in Downtown Flagstaff.

Downtown has quite a few old buildings that just yell, “photograph me!”

This is Daniel photographing a building for his 12 of 12…which you can see here.

A nice healthy lunch at Alpine Pizza.

After lunch we stopped at a park to swing on the swings and watch 2 homos play with their child.  “When she yells ‘dad’ which one answers?” we wondered.

We didn’t get too much blue sky this weekend, but we saw a little bit on the way to the bar.

This one was technically taken on Sunday…it was a few minutes past midnight.  Getting ready for bed.

  1. I totally have boyfriend envy.

  2. Wow!  Those star lamps turned out really nice!  Good job!  Oh yeah, and the swinging pic is great too.  I could care less for the last photo.  ;)

  3. Translation - Mezcal [less refined version of Tequila] from the region of Oaxaca with worm. It’s a step above pulque, the thick, milky alcohol that the Aztecs were drinking when Cortez and friends landed.Death-obsessed Mexicans believe the best final resting place for the worm that feeds and makes it’s home in the agave plant is in a bottle the fermented juice of a roasted agave heart.  Kind of an ashes to ashes thing.

  4. I like the picture of the rain, if for no other reason than you laughed at the children. I would have to. Schadenfreude ftw!Never too old for swings. :)

  5. Thanks Ed!
